Riley’s Walking!

Riley took his first steps the other day. He is so proud of himself. He has been able to do it for quite some time, taking one or two steps and then deciding he would stick to crawling for a little while longer. He would also walk for minutes at a time all over the house using the walls and furniture for support. When he finally decided to try a few more steps he was so excited and started doing it again and again just to please his audience. The video shows him walking about a day or so after his initial steps. He is currently 11 months old and a joy to watch.

    Hi Amy & Justin, thanks for sending the video of Riley. That little squirt looks so cute walking! It cracked me up when he was walking and fell and then kind of noticed something on his leg. Kids are easily distracted and find EVERYTHING fascinating.

    Yeah for Riley! So fun to watch them when they first learn to walk. Now you and Amy pull out your running shoes again - those buggers can sure be fast!

    Thanks for commenting and I am glad you both enjoyed the video. I especially liked it when he yelled out “BAH!” He must yell that 50 times a day. He uses it to call people to pay attention. If he is looking for you, Riley will go over to the stairs and yell “BAH!” up the stairs. It gets louder and louder until you answer back. He is such a character.
